As a Process Technology Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in improving and optimising manufacturing processes across Fractionation, Bulk, and Fill/Finish production areas. You will provide technical leadership and process engineering expertise to ensure efficient, compliant, and reliable manufacturing operations. Project title: Principal Process Engineer m/f/d Type of employment: Payroll Industry: Engineering Skills: p&id,pharma,german,process engineering Project start: ASAP Project duration: 6 months Location: Bern, Switzerland, prefferably be there onsite Tasks: ·Develop technical design requirements and support the preparation of engineering specifications, drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with internal, external, local, and global standards. ·Create and review Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), System Descriptions (SDs), and System Risk Assessments in collaboration with internal teams and external engineering partners. ·Act as the technical Process Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CAPEX and OPEX projects, technology transfers, audits, process improvements, task forces, change controls, and deviation assessments. ·Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical solutions meet operational, quality, and regulatory requirements. ·Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, efficient, and sustainable process designs. Qualifications: ·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. ·More than 8 years of experience in process and/or manufacturing engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry. ·Strong mechanical engineering and design engineering experience, including the development and review of engineering documentation. ·Solid understanding and interpretation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) is essential. ·Experience with engineering design principles, technical development methodologies, process technologies, and problem-solving throughout design, testing, and deployment phases. ·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams. ·Fluent in English; German language skills are considered an advantage.
