Acts as an Engineering & Maintenance Expert lead in Capital investment projects for Ibex biopharma facilities. Main responsible for delivering all input required for engineering, qualification and maintenance of the future facilities. (equipment standardization, pipe classes, qualification approach, maintenance strategy). Acts as future Head of Plant Engineering during the initial engineering phases and provides leadership to cross-functional teams. Project title: Senior Engineering & Maintenance Expert m/f/d Type of employment: Payroll Industry: Engineering Skills: maintenance,gmp,english,german Project start: 14.09.2026 Project duration: 6 months Location: 3930 Visp, Switzerland, fully onsite Key Responsibilities ·Serve as Engineering & Maintenance Lead for capital projects, supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and qualification of new biopharma facilities. ·Act as the key interface between Global Engineering, contractors, and operations, ensuring operational requirements are incorporated into facility design. ·Define and implement maintenance strategies, standards, and asset management concepts aligned with site-wide engineering practices. ·Support facility start-up readiness, including engineering organization setup, workforce planning, and operational ramp-up. ·Drive innovation and operational excellence in facility design to improve manufacturability, reliability, and lifecycle cost efficiency. ·Provide engineering expertise for GMP and safety risk assessments. ·Advise project and operations teams on plant engineering, utilities, maintenance, and reliability topics. ·Contribute as a member of the Plant Engineering Leadership Team, representing engineering and maintenance interests. Qualifications ·Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline. ·Fluency in English and German. ·Experience leading engineering, maintenance, or capital project activities in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. ·Strong knowledge of plant engineering, utilities, maintenance strategies, reliability, and asset lifecycle management. ·Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred. ·Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage complex projects, drive performance, and align teams with business objectives. ·Strong technical expertise combined with business and financial acumen. ·Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset with strong decision-making skills. ·Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
