Für unser Kunden in Essen suchen wir ab Oktober einen Palo Alto & Cisco Firewall und Netzwerk Engineer (m/w/d). Die Tätigkeit erfolgt idealerweise 50% Remote & 50% Onsite. Tasks: - You support the implementation of a state-of-the-art, global network architecture and the corresponding management procedures - You ensure the provision and continuous improvement of network operations - You ensure transparency regarding service availability and performance and promote efficient event management - You translate business requirements into IT/OT specifications and implement solutions according to overarching design principles - Your main focus is on the operational technology (OT) of energy plants - You optimize and implement the latest technologies and resolve escalated problems (2nd level support) - You create and maintain technical documentation and user manuals - You ensure continuous improvement and monitoring of networks and OT security - You administer firewalls and analyze network traffic with systems such as Darktrace - You participate in factory acceptance tests and ensure timely availability for new projects Skills: - Completed degree in computer science or training as an IT specialist - Several years (8+) of professional experience in network administration and technology Several years (5+) of experience in dealing with networks in the OT environment - Several years experience with Palo Alto and Cisco - staging and configuration of devices - Proven experience with the administration and troubleshooting of firewall systems - Proven experience in the field of cyber security for operational environments - Proven experience with renewable energies - Proficient knowledge of the cross-site design and monitoring of network infrastructures - Knowledge of the development, operation and management of on-premise and cloud network infrastructures - Experience in managing network operations - Experience with factor acceptance testing for operational technology environments
