We are seeking an experienced Interim COO for an exciting project with a Swiss biotech scale-up developing breakthrough brush-border enzyme supplementation technology (BBEST). The company is transitioning from R&D into market readiness and commercial expansion while preparing for a strategic founder succession. This critical interim assignment requires a business-driven enterprise builder who will ensure operational excellence, drive commercialization, and strengthen the organization's investment readiness. You will coordinate internal teams, external partners, universities, subcontractors, regulators, and investors during this pivotal transformation phase. Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Bio-Enzyme Development & Commercialization (m/f/d) 100% Responsibilities ·Lead commercialization transition across all operational domains including manufacturing scale-up, technology transfer, and CMO/CRO collaborations ·Manage regulatory pathways (Swissmedic, EMA, FDA) and strengthen QA/QC systems for audit readiness and compliance ·Professionalize Finance, HR, Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and establish integrated processes across Legal, IT, Risk, and Operations ·Drive fundraising readiness by preparing pitch materials, investor documentation, financial models, and due-diligence packages ·Build strategic relationships with VCs, family offices, institutional investors, and strategic pharma partners ·Install high-performance culture with clear decision-making, communication, and accountability frameworks Requirements ·12+ years in biotech/pharma/medical/consumer-health operations with proven commercialization and scale-up track record ·Strong expertise in regulatory requirements, manufacturing, supply chain, and packaging compliance ·Demonstrated experience in fundraising, investor relations, and capital-market readiness ·Entrepreneurial, structured, and collaborative leadership style with ability to manage multiple stakeholders ·Experience working with universities, regulators, and complex supplier environments ·Fluent English required; German preferred; French advantageous Offer ·Project start: ASAP ·Project duration: 18 Months ·Location: Basel area, Switzerland ·Workload: Full-time (100%) ·Industry focus: Biotech / Enzyme Therapeutics ·Competitive daily rates commensurate with experience If the challenge described matches your professional experience and interests, we look forward to receiving your online registration and your detailed application documents.
