Interim Manager Specialist Electricity Grid Capacity Calculation (f/m)

The liberalisation of the EU electricity market and the increase in cross-border energy flows throughout Europe require the introduction of a transparent, non-discriminatory system of congestion management at Swiss borders with neighbouring countries. Determining available capacities for auctions, processes are taking places on different timeframes, implementing complex methodologies for the calculation of capacities in different regions. Our client, the operator of the Swiss network, is starting this project with focus on a coordinated capacity calculation process for day-ahead capacities as well as the implementation of Switzerland in the European day-ahead capacity calculation process. To lead this process, we are looking for an   Interim Manager Specialist Electricity Grid Capacity Calculation (f/m) Challenges ·Contribute to Capacity Calculation related project(s) both in the conceptual and development/ implementation phase ·Support in drafting of Business Requirements and Functional Specifications related to Capacity Calculation project(s) for external vendors ·Support in defining business processes and relevant documentation ·Provide support in terms of prototyping for project team related topics to ensure the timely fulfilment of the deliverables ·Support grid studies related to Capacity Calculation and provide related reports ·Support in the IT implementation and information exchange with tool vendors ·Support in writing test specifications and performing testing ·Further support in other fields of the development of the company’s congestion management pro-cesses   Requirements ·University degree with expert knowledge of power systems and grid analysis ·At least 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in the Transmission System Operation business ·Proven expertise in the congestion management, and preferred in Capacity Calculation projects ·Project working experience ·Expertise in working with MS Office (Excel and MS Project), Matlab and PSSE ·Experience in programming using Python ·Results-oriented attitude, team-player with ability to prioritise ·Languages: German, excellent writing and presentation skills in English   Location: Days on site Northern Switzerland; Rest of the time home office Start: May 7. 2021 End: December 31. 2022 with option to extend until December 2025 Workload: 80 to 100%   If you have experience in interim management / management on time and would like to contribute with commitment, then we have a responsible position in a strongly networked company for you with immediate effect.
