Technical Skills Required ·Expert in design, configuration, and implementation of Backup Solutions. ·Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Protect (ISP), IBM Spectrum Protect Plus (SPP), Tape Library, and Disk Storage. ·Performance Management of Backup Infrastructure. ·Ensure Backup infrastructure availability and data recovery. Specific Domain/Technical/Functional skills ·Strong troubleshooting skills in Backup Infrastructure and advanced problem-solving skills. ·Strong knowledge of TSM Administration related concepts. (> TSM 8.1.x a.k.a., IBM Spectrum Protect) and troubleshooting skills. ·Good knowledge of SAP HANA DB, Oracle DB and SQL DB Backup and Configuration. ·Configured LAN free clients and good at troubleshooting LAN free backup failures. ·Proactive and preventive measures for problems/errors. ·Management of Backup SLAs and KPIs. ·Coordinate with Vendors & OEMs for technical issues / escalations. ·Drive major incidents to resolution. ·Operational performance reporting. ·Analyze, customize, and optimize data protection infrastructure to meet RTO and RPO requirements. ·License Management. ·Manage backup and restore testing processes to ensure system availability and data recovery. ·Periodic and scheduled reporting of backup success rates/KPI metrics ·Troubleshoot performance issues, Backup slowness, Capacity issues and increased resource consumption issues. ·Maintain role-based access while managing backup operations. ·Patching and Upgrade of Backup software and hardware. ·Conduct annual data protection assurance assessments. ·Pro-active analysis and avoidance of data backup and recovery failures. ·Create, edit, delete, and optimize automation jobs. ·Regular stocktaking and provision of information for performance and capacity planning. ·Manage Backup and Restore service requests. ·Manage Tape libraries and Disk storages. ·Manage scheduled tape rotation activities. ·Continuous improvements and Cost optimization. ·Root Cause Analysis. ·People management and skills development. ·Own and Drive Service Improvement plans. ·Identify, own, and mitigate risks. ·Ensure compliance with client and organization processes and policies. ·Enable and support the Team in resolving day-to-day production issues and other activities. ·ITIL Certification preferred. ·Good on documentation and presentation skills.
