We are currently looking for a freelance "Power BI & Data Analytics Specialist (m/f/x)" for our client in the IT-sector. Start: asap End: 30.09.2026 Capacity: fulltime Location: Remote Core Skills – Power BI (Reporting & Visualization) ·Data Modeling: Ability to design and implement star/snowflake schemas in Power BI using relationships, calculated tables, and measures. ·DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Basic to intermediate knowledge of DAX for creating calculated columns, measures, and KPIs. ·Data Transformation: Proficiency in using Power Query (M language) to clean, shape, and transform data before visualization. ·Visualization Design: Experience in creating interactive and user-friendly dashboards using charts, tables, slicers, and bookmarks. ·Publishing & Sharing: Understanding of Power BI Service for report publishing, workspace management, and dataset scheduling. ·Security: Familiarity with Row-Level Security (RLS) to control user access to data. ·Performance Optimization: Basic knowledge of optimizing visuals and data models for faster report rendering. Data Connectivity & Integration ·Experience with DirectQuery and Import modes, understanding trade-offs between them. Azure KQL (Kusto Query Language) – Basic Level ·Understanding of KQL syntax to query logs or telemetry data in Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Azure Data Explorer. ·Ability to: oFilter, sort, and summarize data using where, project, summarize, extend, etc. oPerform basic joins and unions. oUse time-series functions like bin() and time aggregation for trend analysis. oUse KQL to extract relevant data for visualizations or analysis in Power BI. oFamiliarity with how to create KQL-based queries in Power BI’s Azure Data Explorer connector.
