We are currently looking for a freelance "Data Migration Lead (m/f/d)" for our client in the fashion sector. Start: asap End: June 2030 Capacity: Fulltime Location: remote from Europe, with 5 days/month onsite in Düsseldorf (Germany) Tasks: ·Define and drive the end-to-end data migration strategy for the F4F programme, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA transformation goals ·Lead the planning and execution of all data migration activities from legacy systems to the new architecture ·Establish data migration governance, including decision frameworks, quality standards, and risk management ·Oversee all ETL cycles (extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation) to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency ·Ensure data readiness for all project phases, including SIT, UAT, cutover rehearsals, and pilot go-live ·Safeguard data integrity and compliance throughout the migration process ·Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, architecture, business stakeholders, system integrators) to ensure seamless execution ·Act as the central point of contact for all data migration topics within a large-scale transformation programme ·Define and monitor data quality KPIs, dashboards, and validation processes ·Manage data-related risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive mitigation plans ·Lead defect management and coordinate resolution across business and technical teams ·Ensure successful cutover execution and support go-live as well as post-go-live stabilization (hypercare) ·Support a scalable migration approach for pilot and multi-year European rollout Must-have: ·Many years in largescale SAP/ERP data migration programmes ·SAP S/4HANA ·Solid expertise in ETL methodologies, data modelling, transformation logic, data quality frameworks, cleansing, and reconciliation. ·Strong understanding of core master and transactional data domains (Article Master, Vendors, POs, Inventory, Pricing, financial objects). ·Deep experience working across complex multisystem landscapes, including legacy systems, mapping layers, and SAP. ·Experience in retail, consumer goods, or multi-country operational environments ·Excellent cross functional leadership and stakeholder alignment skills (Business Owners, MDM, EA, SAP CoE, System Integrators). ·Professional English, German is a nice-to-have
