We are currently looking for a freelance "Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) MDG - Syndigo Implementation" for our client in the fashion sector. Start: 15.07.2026 End: 30.06.2027 Capacity: Fulltime Location: Remote Goal definition: Develop an integration layer that will be an interface between the source and target systems for product, location and supplier data and the master data management tool Syndigo Tasks: The assignment applies to the MDG Tech team within the above listed project. The focus of the MDG Tech team is to design, operate, and support the end-to-end MDM integration flow between Syndigo and legacy systems, including inbound/outbound processing, mapping, error handling, and operational monitoring. ·Take shared ownership in the development of the technical integration across Syndigo , legacy and downstream interfaces ·Ensure data quality and mapping consistency between inbound source files and outbound update messages ·Support production stability through monitoring, alerting, and dead-letter queue handling ·Build a maintainable and scalable solution that supports both initial load and ongoing update flows Must-have: ·5+ years of experience in Data engineering at level senior ·Solid understanding of data flows, interfaces, mappings, and production support considerations ·Cloud integration, Kafka, Lambda, DynamoDB, and MDM/Syndigo ·AWS (Dynamodb, lambdas, SQS, ecs, fargate) ·CI/CD (Bitbucket, Jenkins) ·Python ·Confluent Kafka ·SQL ·fluent in english (project language) Nice-to-have: ·Experience with data governance and master data management is a strong advantage ·Certificates “AWS” ·Prior experience in the fashion retail industry ·Terraform ·knowledge of german language is a plus
