Key Responsibilities ·Lead the planning and execution of firmware development, in close alignment with the internal team, with a strong focus on BLE and/or WIFI functionality ·Enhance firmware by implementing the BLE stack, updating unit tests, and ensuring robustness and compliance ·Support iterative hardware design refinement and the design transfer into production, in collaboration with an external EMS supplier ·Contribute to design control deliverables, including risk mitigation activities and identification of critical-to-quality (CTQ) attributes ·Support the creation of needs and requirements documentation, aligned with the latest cybersecurity and data privacy regulations ·Take ownership in developing and executing an incremental implementation and deployment plan ·Actively bring in external expertise, enabling the team to learn from and internalize new competencies Required Skillset ·Embedded hardware and firmware specialist with experience in the medical device industry ·Strong C++ programming experience on microcontroller-based systems, including RTOS environments (e.g., FreeRTOS) ·Proven experience developing firmware for BLE and/or WIFI communication modules ·Experience with Altium Designer / Altium 365, with the ability to read and understand schematics ·Strong understanding of battery-powered microcontroller system constraints ·Familiar with medical device regulatory frameworks (Class IIa / IIb), including SaMD ·Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment (Scrum and/or SAFe) ·Ability to work on-site in Baar at least 2–3 days per week, collaborating with an international team including stakeholders in the US ·Collaborative personality with a strong willingness to share knowledge and mentor the team
