We are looking for a service-driven and technically skilled professional to take ownership of the local IT operations in Cape Town and act as a key interface to the global IT organization. Our client is an internationally active organization in the medical sector, making a significant global impact in the fight against blood cancer. In this role, you will ensure a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment while supporting multiple national locations and contributing to a seamless global IT landscape. Your Responsibilities ·Provide structured 2nd level support for hardware and software incidents, including documentation and escalation management. ·Deliver onsite support for end-user devices, printers, unified communication and Citrix environments. ·Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including access control and asset handling. ·Oversee local IT infrastructure installations, relocations and lifecycle management of IT assets. ·Coordinate and monitor external IT vendors and service providers in line with SLAs. ·Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and insurance documentation. ·Administer biometric access control systems and ensure secure system integration. Your Profile ·Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field. ·Minimum 3 years’ experience in system and workplace administration. ·Solid knowledge of operating systems, TCP/IP networking and basic database concepts. ·ITIL (preferred) or comparable service management framework knowledge. ·Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. ·Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership. ·Willingness to travel when required.
